Estimates & booking

Do I need an appointment for an estimate?

No. Walk in Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, and we’ll write your estimate while you wait. You can also book a time online if you’d rather not wait.

Is the estimate free?

Yes. Estimates are free and there’s no obligation to have the work done here.

Can you give me a price over the phone?

We don’t quote repairs over the phone, because what looks like a scuff can hide a broken bracket or a damaged sensor. A free in-person estimate takes a few minutes and gives you a real number.

Can I send photos first?

Yes. Text photos to (815) 408-3676 and we’ll follow up. A photo helps us get started, but the final estimate is written after we see the car in person.

What should I bring?

Your vehicle, your insurance information and claim number if you have one, and your driver’s license.

Are you open on Saturdays?

Saturdays are by appointment only. We’re open Monday–Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, and closed Sunday.

Insurance & claims

My insurance company wants me to go to their shop. Do I have to?

No. Your insurance company can recommend a shop, but in Illinois the choice is yours. Insurers sometimes tell customers they’ll have out-of-pocket costs if they go somewhere else. We can’t speak to your specific policy, so ask your agent to show you in writing what’s covered. Keep in mind that an insurer’s recommended shop has agreed to the insurer’s pricing and terms, so it saves the insurer money on what they owe you. Before you decide, get a free estimate from a facility certified for your make. It shows you what a full factory repair actually includes. Then the choice is yours.

Can I choose my own body shop if I’m going through insurance?

Yes. In Illinois you choose where your car is repaired. Your insurance company can recommend a shop, but the decision is yours.

Which insurance companies do you work with?

Every carrier. Bring your claim number, or start with the estimate if you haven’t filed yet.

Should I get an estimate before I file a claim?

It often helps. You’ll know what the repair involves before you decide how to handle it.

What if my insurer’s estimate is lower than yours?

Insurer estimates are often written before anyone takes the car apart. We document what the repair actually requires, including hidden damage found after teardown, and send it to your insurer. If something isn’t covered, we’ll tell you before the work is done.

What’s a supplement?

An addition to your claim for damage found once the car is taken apart. It’s normal on most collision repairs, and we handle the documentation with your insurer.

How does my deductible work?

Your deductible is the first part of the repair cost, and it’s paid to us. Your insurance covers the rest after that. Anything the repair needs that your policy doesn’t cover is also your responsibility.

When do I pay?

The full amount you owe must be paid before the vehicle can be picked up. You can pay at drop-off or at pickup, whichever is easier.

Repairs & parts

Do you repair every make and model?

Yes. Every vehicle is repaired to its own manufacturer’s published repair procedures. We’re also Honda, Acura, Ford and Lincoln certified.

Will you use OEM parts?

On certified Honda, Acura, Ford and Lincoln repairs we use genuine factory parts as the procedures call for. On other vehicles we’ll explain your parts options and what your policy covers.

Can I bring my own parts?

No. We don’t install customer-supplied parts. We source every part ourselves so we can stand behind the repair.

Do you recalibrate driver-assist systems?

Yes. Cameras, radar and sensors are recalibrated when the repair procedures call for it.

Do you do paintless dent repair?

Yes. Paintless dent repair is ideal for hail and door dings when the paint isn’t damaged.

Can you fit a full-size school bus?

Yes. Our facility is set up for school buses, vans, box trucks and municipal vehicles.

Do you do restoration work?

Not at this time.

Do you do full repaints?

Not at this time. Unless a vehicle has great sentimental value, a proper full repaint usually costs more than it’s worth.

Do you do rust repair?

No. Unless a vehicle has great sentimental value, repairing rust properly usually costs more than it’s worth, and rust repair can’t be covered by a warranty.

Timing & updates

How long will my repair take?

It depends on the damage and parts availability. After teardown we’ll give you an expected timeline and keep you updated.

How will I get updates?

By call, text or email, whichever you prefer.

Can you help with a rental car?

Yes. We work with Enterprise and can set up your rental. Whether your insurance pays for it depends on your policy’s rental coverage.

Can I still drive my car before the repair?

If it’s safe and legal to drive, usually yes. If lights, mirrors, wheels or suspension are damaged, or warning lights are on, bring it in or have it towed.

Payment & warranty

What does your limited lifetime warranty cover?

Our workmanship, including metalwork, paint, mechanical repairs and parts we installed, for as long as you own the vehicle. See warranty details.

Do you offer financing?

Yes! We offer repair financing through Sunbit, with 0% interest plans available for qualifying customers. It works a lot like Klarna, PayPal Pay Later or Affirm. See how repair financing works.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Cash, check and major credit cards. Financing is also available through Sunbit.
