March 10, 2026: helping Kankakee County drive again
After the EF-3 tornado and hailstorm, we partnered with Kankakee County Community Services, Inc. (KCCSI) to repair vehicles for families who needed help.

The storm
On the evening of March 10, 2026, an EF-3 tornado and record-sized hail tore through Kankakee County. Homes in Aroma Park were destroyed, and hundreds of vehicles across Kankakee, Bradley and the surrounding area were left with shattered glass and hail damage.
For a lot of families, a car is how they get to work, to school and to the doctor. Losing it on top of storm damage at home was more than many could absorb.
The partnership
St. Aubin Auto Body was the only body shop partnered with KCCSI on its disaster relief vehicle repair assistance. KCCSI approved qualifying residents for repair assistance, and we inspected, estimated and repaired their vehicles, coordinating directly with KCCSI’s team on every case, from estimates and approvals to towing a vehicle in for inspection.
The program has now completed its funding. We’re proud of what it accomplished and grateful we got to be part of it.
Thank you, KCCSI
To Katia Villagomez, Community Services Coordinator, and Ari Serna, Customer Service Representative, and everyone at Kankakee County Community Services, Inc.: thank you. You were responsive, kind to every family, and easy to work with. Thank you also to Monica, who ran the program day to day on our side.
If KCCSI or any Kankakee County agency needs a repair partner for future disaster response, our door is open.
