What paintless dent repair is

Paintless dent repair (PDR) uses specialized tools to work behind the panel and push the metal back to its original shape. Nothing gets sanded, filled or repainted, so your factory paint stays on the car.

Factory paint is the most durable finish your car will ever have, and keeping it helps protect resale value. When PDR fits the damage, it’s usually the fastest repair too.

  • Keeps your factory paint

No filler, no sanding, no refinishing on dents repaired with PDR.

  • Usually faster

With no paint cure time, many PDR repairs move quicker than conventional repair.

  • Great for hail

Dozens of small dents across the roof, hood and trunk are what PDR does best.

  • Insurance claims welcome

Hail is usually a comprehensive claim. We work with every carrier.

When PDR is the right call, and when it isn’t

PDR works when the paint isn’t cracked or chipped and the metal hasn’t been stretched too far. Round dents from hail, parking-lot door dings and many soft creases are good candidates.

Sharp creases, dents right on a panel edge, cracked paint or damage to the underlying structure usually need conventional repair. We’ll tell you honestly which one your car needs, and on many hail claims the best result is a mix of both.

  • Good PDR candidates

Hail dents, door dings, small to medium dents with the paint intact.

  • Needs conventional repair

Cracked or chipped paint, sharp creases, edge damage, prior body filler.

Paintless dent repair questions

Does paintless dent repair really leave no trace?

On the right dent, yes. Because the factory paint is never disturbed, there’s nothing to match. Some dents are too sharp or too stretched for PDR, and we’ll tell you up front.

Will my insurance cover hail damage?

Hail is typically covered under the comprehensive part of an auto policy, subject to your deductible. Check your policy, and we’ll document the damage for your claim.

Can every dent be fixed with PDR?

No. If the paint is cracked or chipped, the dent is on a sharp edge, or the metal is badly stretched, conventional repair is the right fix.

Is PDR covered by your warranty?

Yes. Our limited lifetime warranty covers our workmanship for as long as you own the vehicle.
